Dad's birthday cake

Louise and I always make a cake for Dad. This year, Lou was very determined to write on it herself, here she is concentrating hard to write 'DAD".

So Dad turned 40 and he is wearing it well! We had some friends over on Friday night and grilled out with a few beers. A pleasant way to celebrate the passing of time!

TOday is both Father's day and my xxnd birthday. This morning we took a nice cycle ride to a couple of play parks with a pit stop at Starbucks. What more fun way to spend this special Sunday??
