Thanksgiving 2009

The day started early for Gordon as we decided to smoke the turkey in his charcoal smoker. He was up at 5am, getting the coals light. Around 6am the turkey went in for the next 8-10 hours!!

It was worth the effort. When it was time to carve, the bird was so tender and moist. In fact the meat was falling off the bone. and the taste was gorgeous, all smoky and flavorful! He can do this again (including getting up at 5!!)

While the turkey was cooking, we went off to meet Neil, Charlotte and Amelia at Lions park then home via starbucks!
