Louise's 5th birthday

The party is over and all the cake eaten, the presents opened and my girl is a big 5 - year old. Where did those 5 years go. Since we bought home that tiny little baby with the cute round face and spiky black hair!!!

Anyway, yesterday was fun. We had 11 friends at the party - Maren Wade, Avery Litton, Colin Larson, Ella Houlahan, Megan Schulenberg, Margaret Ciabella, Carter Lake, Anna Garrison, Sophie Vincent and of course Charlotte and Amelia Pickard.

The party was at 1pm and we set off in plenty of time to get there and set up / prepare. As we got to Zionsville town center, disaster....I had forgotten the cake. Oh, my, how could we forget the cake. So we turned around and went back for it but now the time was tight. We just got there before the first guest arrived!!! Once we were all there, the kids chose what they wanted to paint. They got plenty of colors, brushes and the room fell quiet for the next 30 minutes. The occasional shout for another color but they all seemed to enjoy the painting. The trick for us was to not let the first child finish. Once one was done, they all were!!!

After the painting, we had pizza, the cake and tidied up, we had a quick game of bingo before presents were opened!
Then we went home, had dinner and collapsed into bed!!!
